We have five residential homes including two homes for children with physical and learning disabilities, all of which are currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Our offer

Our work involves caring for children with complex needs and development trauma. To do this effectively we use therapeutic approaches that help us evidence and improve children’s outcomes.

By having clear goals and using strategies consistent with our therapeutic model, we significantly improve the lives of children and young people we work with.

The Family Care Team

Our mission is to significantly improve the lives of the children and young people we work with.

We use Secure Base Model throughout all our services

The Secure Base model provides a positive framework for therapeutic caregiving which helps  children and young people move towards greater security and build resilience.

The model focuses on the interactions that occur between caregivers and children on a day to day, minute by minute basis within the caregiving environment. But it also considers how those relationships can enable the child to develop competence in the outside world of school, peer group and community.

The model is founded on key theories and research in child development, attachment, relationships and resilience. The goal of the model is to support caregivers to provide sensitive caregiving that develops secure trusting relationships.
